The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed.

"The Computer Restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error" while installation of windows Operating system (Through Windows Deployment Services - WDS) 

 

 


Cause :
The Most Commonly caused by an interruption of the power supply such as power failure or pressing restart during the final stage of windows installation process.

Steps to Fix this Issue : - 
When the error message appears kindly press "Shift + F10" to open the command Prompt
Type Regedit to open the registry editor.

  

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/Setup/Status/ChildCompletion
Now Find REG_DWORD Key called "setup.exe" and edit/change the value from 1 to 3

Now exit the registry editor and click on OK on the error message, your computer will restart and continue on the windows setup process as normal without re-formatting again...

Installation of Rubyinstaller along with cucumber and watir, gem plug-in installation

Download and install "Rubyinstaller 1.9.3 x32Bit" on windows machine first.

Note : Rubyinstaller 2.0 x64Bit is not compatible for windows 7 x64Bit machine
(while installtion of Rubyinstaller, make sure you marked all the check marks on the same)

Once the installation is completed, kindly follow below steps to install cucumber and watir gem plug-ins
Steps : 
           Go To Start > Ruby193 > "Start command prompt with Ruby"
Type Below commands one by one
  • gem install cucumber     Hit ENTER
  • gem install watir             Hit ENTER 
Installation start fetching to complete the installation ( internet connection must be enabled ) 

IF you are using Proxy Setting to enable the internet then you must Enter Below Commands to install required "cucumber" and "watir" gem plug-ins
  • gem install cucumber --http-proxy=http://172.27.172.XX:8080   Hit ENTER
  • gem install watir --http-proxy=http://172.27.172.XX:8080           Hit ENTER

Windows 7 Services pack 1 installation was not successful

Windows 7, 8, windows server 2008 and above operating system, services patches installation error ( Windows .. service pack 1 installation was not successful )

Cause: USBStor Devices permission is denied in windows operating system

Solution:

Change the file permission on USBStor devices files as below :
First Replace the owner ship as "Administrator"on the below mentioned files
Assign Full Permission on each on every users available in the file Properties 

Go to the "C:\Windows\System32\drivers"
  • USBSTOR.SYS
Go to the "C:\Windows\inf"
  • usbstor.inf
  • usbstor.PNF
Once you replace the permission as full control on each on every users ( it can be a system default users ) "DO NOT RESTART THE SYSTEM" 

Copy Windows Service pack 1 patch on local drive and start the installation again.. 

Installation should completed successfully now...

PHP Installation or upgradation on Linux Machine

Procedure to install or upgrade PHP 5.3.3 on Linux Machine.

Steps to installed Offline PHP installation :
Download PHP 5.3.3 Tar file from the Internet using below links :
link 1 - PHP_5.3.3.tar
link 2 - PHP_5.3.3.tar

Commands to proceed the installation -
copy PHP_5.3.3.tar file on the local machine using WinSCP or share drive
Untar the tar file use below command
tar -xvf PHP_5.3.3.tar
Then copy or move Unzipped/untar Folder in "usr/opt"
cd /usr/opt
cd PHP_5.3.3
./configure
make
make install

Installation will take 2/3 mint to upgrade or install the services.
once the installation complete kindly check the installation status or PHP status using below command
command : php -v

Forbidden: You don’t have permission to access/phpmyadmin on this server

After installation of WAMP Server, creating an issue for phpmyadmin in windows :

Error look same like as follows : while opening the phpmyadmin

Forbidden :
you don't have permission to access/phpmyadmin on this server
______________________________________________________________

Cause:
WAMP's phpmyadmin is configured by default to allow root with no password.
The actual problem is that WAMP is binding to an IPv6 address according your version of Windows.

Solution:

1)  First Stop/disable the IIS Admin & WWW Services. (if already installed or change WAMP port, Because IIS and Wamp using same 80 port )

2)  Open "phpmyadmin.conf" located at "C:\wamp\alias\phpmyadmin.conf" and find Directory "C:/wamp/apps/phpmyadmin3.4.5/" and type Allow From ::1 below the in same.
3)  Remove or replace the Entry Deny From All to Allow From All in phpmyadmin.conf file.
