Want to connect TFS 2010 & 2012 server using visual studio 2008 team explorer then follow below steps:
Make Sure that below software are installed on your system if not the get is install step by step:
Install Visual Studio 2008
Install Visual Studio 2008 Team Explorer
Install Visual Studio 2008 SP1
Once Installation complete kindly Open VS2008 Team Explorer and add TFS2010 OR TFS2012 Server name as below :
(http://TfsServer:8080/Tfs/ProjectCollectionName)
